Motion earns attention static images don't

Scrolling feeds and marketplace galleries are won in the first second. A short clip that moves — a slow orbit, a push-in, light sweeping across a surface — holds the eye long enough to register the product. That's why marketplaces added video slots and why Reels outperform static posts for product discovery.

The barrier has been production. Shooting video for every SKU is slower than photography and harder to keep consistent. Image-to-video removes that barrier.

What image-to-video actually does

You upload one product image (ideally the clean hero shot you already have) and describe motion. The model animates the camera and environment — the product itself stays as photographed when product preservation is on. The output is a 5- or 10-second MP4.

AI Video Studio does this at 768P with MiniMax-H3, and you can also generate from a text prompt alone for concept clips.

Camera moves by category

Category Move that works Why
Jewellery Slow orbit, light sweep Shows sparkle and facets
Beauty Gentle push-in, ripples/mist Communicates texture and mood
Fashion Slow pan across fabric, hanger sway Shows drape and print
Furniture Wide slow pan, parallax Conveys scale in a room
Electronics Orbit with reflections Highlights finish and ports

Describe exactly one move per clip. Two moves in five seconds feels frantic.

Prompt pattern

[camera move] around/towards the product on [surface] in [environment], [light], [one subtle environmental motion]

Example: "Slow cinematic orbit around the product on a marble counter, soft morning light, dust motes drifting."

Use Enhance Prompt in the studio if you want a director's version of your one-liner.

5 seconds or 10?

  • 5s — marketplace video slot, Reel cover, ad bumper. One move, one mood.
  • 10s — two-angle reveal, "unboxing" feel, or a slow pan for large products.

In Pixvero, a 5-second video is 1 Video Credit and a 10-second video is 2; new accounts get one free 5-second video each month to test the result on their own product.

Where to use the clips

  • Amazon / Flipkart / Nykaa video slot — 16:9 or 1:1, 5 seconds.
  • Instagram Reels / YouTube Shorts — 9:16, loop-friendly motion.
  • Product page hero — autoplay muted 5s loop above the gallery.
  • Paid ads — a moving creative lifts CTR over static for the same spend.

Keep it honest

Animate the world, not the product. Don't let a model add features, change colour or redraw a label — it's a return waiting to happen. Preservation on, always, for listing content.
